City of Hope & Moroccanoil: | How to Shop for a Cause This Summer

Being part of the beauty world, we know exactly how much the way you look can affect the way you feel. For better or for worse, this remains true even when you’re suffering from a life-threatening illness like cancer. It’s something many of the stylists in our Moroccanoil Professional community have witnessed firsthand when new or longtime clients come in to get their hair cut because they are expecting to lose it during chemotherapy.

For that reason and more, $5 from each Moroccanoil Protect & Prevent Spray purchase made through July 27th will benefit the City of Hope Positive Image Center.

Moroccanoil Protect & Prevent Spray. Through July 27th, $5 from each purchase will benefit the City of Hope Positive Image Center.

City of Hope is a cancer treatment and research center based in California. They provide an integrated, interdisciplinary array of supportive care services and programs that address the many physical and emotional issues that can arise during and after treatment. Their goal is to help ensure patients and their caregivers have access to the resources they need. City of Hope has seen that a patient’s positive outlook has a direct impact on outcome results and thus the program puts a heavy emphasis on the importance of providing nutritional support, emotional, social and spiritual support, and guidance on products that are safe during and after treatment.

Within the Department of Supportive Care Medicine, the Positive Image Center helps cancer patients preserve their sense of self throughout their treatment by providing oncology-trained, licensed cosmetologists who can help minimize the visible side effects of cancer. In addition to complimentary haircuts and head shaves, they offer custom wig fittings, product consultations and more.

The donation will apply to purchases made on both Moroccanoil.com and Sephora.com, and the total amount raised will be donated in honor of Artemis Patrick. Artemis is the Chief Merchandising Officer at Sephora and recipient of the 2019 Spirit of Life® Award.

*Moroccanoil is making a charitable contribution to City of Hope of US $5.00 per product sold pursuant to the promotion during the promotion (up to a maximum of $10,000) period to support City of Hope’s Positive Image Center. The campaign will end at 11:59 pm on July 27th, 2019. City of Hope’s name and logo are used with its permission, which in no way constitutes an endorsement, expressed or implied, of any product, service or company.
