PRIVACY POLICY
The Moroccanoil family of companies makes and sells the world-famous Moroccanoil® brand of hair, sun and body care products. Our products are available for in-house use by qualified beauty professionals and for direct sale to customers in more than 80 territories worldwide. In this policy, we will tell you a little more about what data we collect and why.
Moroccanoil will process (collect, store and use) your personal data in a manner compatible with the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). It is important for you to know that Moroccanoil is not in the business of buying, selling or trading email lists or other Personal Data with third parties. Can I find out the personal data that the organisation holds about me?
Moroccanoil at your request, can confirm what information we hold about you and how it is processed. If Moroccanoil does hold personal data about you, you can request the following information:
- Identity and the contact details of the person or organisation that has determined how and why to process your data. In some cases, this will be a representative in the EU.
- Contact details of the data protection officer, where applicable.
- The purpose of the processing as well as the legal basis for processing.
- If the processing is based on the legitimate interests of Moroccanoil or a third party, information about those interests.

What forms of ID will I need to provide in order to access this?
In order to process your request, we will ask you to provide two valid forms of identification for verification purposes. Moroccanoil accepts the following forms of ID:
Passport, driving licence, birth certificate, utility bill (from last 3 months)
DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION
We may pass your personal data on to third-party service providers contracted to Moroccanoil in the course of dealing with you. Any third parties that we may share your data with are obliged to keep your details securely, and to use them only to fulfil the service they provide you on our behalf. When they no longer need your data to fulfil this service, they will dispose of the details in line with Moroccanoil’s procedures. STORAGE OF PERSONAL DATA
All information you provide to us is stored on Moroccanoil’s secure servers.
Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although Moroccanoil will do its best to protect its users’ personal data, it cannot guarantee the security of data transmitted to the Site; any transmission is at users’ own risk. Once Moroccanoil has received users’ information, Moroccanoil will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.
This site is not intended for children, and you must be aged 16 or over to use the Moroccanoil websites. USERS’ RIGHTS
At any point while we are in possession of or processing your personal data, you, the data subject, have the following rights:
- Right of access – you have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you.
- Right of rectification – you have a right to correct data that we hold about you that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Right to be forgotten – in certain circumstances you can ask for the data we hold about you to be erased from our records.
- Right to restriction of processing – where certain conditions apply to have a right to restrict the processing.

All of the above requests will be forwarded on should there be a third party involved in the processing of your personal data.
RETENTION PERIOD
We will endeavor to keep your information accurate and up to date, and not keep it for longer than is necessary. Moroccanoil is required to retain information in accordance with the law, such as information needed for income tax and audit purposes. How long certain kinds of personal data should be kept may also be governed by specific business-sector requirements and agreed practices. Personal data may be held in addition to these periods depending on individual business needs. In addition, Moroccanoil will retain personal data for as long as we have an ongoing legitimate business need to do so, for example for as long as your account is active. When we have no need to retain your personal data, we will either delete your personal data, anonymize your personal data, or, in case deletion or anonymization are not possible, will securely isolate your personal data in a location where it cannot be accessed for processing purposes.
COMPLAINTS
In the event that you wish to make a complaint about how your personal data is being processed by Moroccanoil, or how your complaint has been handled, you have the right to lodge a complaint directly with the supervisory authority and Moroccanoil’s Data Protection Officer.
